University of Sydney hosts the 2nd annual Australian Social Network Analysis Conference on its Camperdown Campus in Sydney.

This conference is fully endorsed by INSNA (International Network for Social Network Analysis). We invite all participants to join INSNA and to participate in our signature Sunbelt Conferences (next one is 26 June to 1 July, 2018 in Utrecht, NL).


    We encourage submissions on any topic to which the theory, method or application of SNA is applied. The session topics would include, but are not limited to, networks and organisations, health, social media, social enterprise, governance, and network methods.


    We invite interested authors to submit your abstracts of no more than 300 words by 1 August 2017 via the form at the bottom of this page. Please complete all required details and indicate whether you would prefer to present your paper with slides or with a poster before pressing submit. The Selection Committee will make the final alocation of presentations between slide and poster session. If you have any troubles submitting your paper or have any questions, please email the Conference Manager Margaret Gardoll

    The ASNAC 2017 Organising Committee for the conference will evaluate the submissions and the results will be emailed by 31 August 2017.


    There are 10 x $500 scholarships available to PhD students (for those located outside of Sydney) to help cover travel costs and accommodation. To apply, students must submit an abstract of no more than 1-page which relates to a poster they will present at the conference. The best poster will receive an award.

    Standard: $150
